A Friday ritual. A single photo — no words — capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
“This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man adopted from SouleMama which was introduced to others by Sarah-Jane, of Almost There.
Beautiful and serene
ReplyDeleteSavira Thanks!! It's a dog water fountain in downtown Savannah...
ReplyDeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice quiet place. I bet Erin had a lot of fun there?

I knew this was Savannah without knowing it! I love it! I was just in Savannah and I'm seriously thinking about relocating there. It's so beautiful. You've inspired me this morning;)
ReplyDeleteDavid i am sure that this place is very dear to you and you still cherish the moments with Erin. the image gives back a peaceful feel.

Charlie never wants to drink out of these but I have to avoid them like the plague because he likes to leave his mark on them :)

A water fountain for dogs - what a super idea! And, of course, as it is in Savannah, most tastefully done.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, David!
How lovely - someone in Savannah loves dogs. I bet Erin loved that spot.

Very nice photo! I bet the surroundings are nice for dogs to play in.
ReplyDeletelovely moment! I love the trees in the background; it does look very serene...
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's at a park?
ReplyDelete@Alpana It's often peaceful there unless groups of tourists are wandering through
ReplyDelete@Leah Hope you enjoyed your visit!! Downtown Savannah is very beautiful but expensive...If you need any info let me know
@Sancheeta It's special in the fact that I spent time with Erin there
@Mary Thanks for the kind words
@Jyoti You speak the truth..Thanks for stopping by!!
@Rimly We have a sun dial near this water fountain too...Tourists love these touches :)
ReplyDelete@Irene Thanks for visiting!!
@Nelieta There are only two here in Savannah and not many folks know about them...Wish there were more everywhere for our fur friends!!
@SJ Erin never had an issue drinking from them, to her water is water. Charlie's marking probably only adds to the yumminess for other dogs :)
@Martha It's well crafted from cast iron and has been around before my days with Erin. It's a great idea indeed.
ReplyDelete@Mari Savannah is very dog-friendly and this is another example of that fact. Erin loved this so much especially in the hot humid summers
@John It's usually quiet and a nice place to relax, read, and enjoy nature's beauty
@SweepyJean The fountain is located in a square surrounded by busy streets so not a dog romping area. The fountain was the draw for us!!
@Amy Many trees everywhere in downtown Savannah and it's very serene at times...Just the way I like it!!
ReplyDelete@Anna Thanks for stopping by!!
@Jessica It's located in a square and the other one is located in a park. Both served Erin's needs for many years but Cody is leery and refuses to drink from them. Appreciate you visiting!!
I know I am late to the game, but had to stop by and say this is wonderful, what a gorgeous place. You and Erin must have a a wonderful time here. Beautiful memories for you. <3
ReplyDeleteNice place..but dogs loved it....As always..XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteDavid I bet Erin knew exactly where to go to get a refreshing drink after running and playing in the park...this is a beautiful photo and probably reflects the history of Savannah...again you take us to the places you shared with Erin and it gives us a little more insight into the special bond you had...contributing, each of you to the fullness of your time together...playing, loving and sharing special places. It must be bittersweet for you to return to these spots...Always...xx
ReplyDeleteI can see how dogs would love that place. So calming. Nice moment.

@Jan Better late than never and thanks for stopping by!! It's a wonderful place and many fond memories took place there
ReplyDelete@Bongo Dogs certainly loved it!!
@Leeann Erin knew exactly where the fountains were as she tugged hard on the leash to get us to the water faster. My moments will reveal another piece of the our story. It's bittersweet in a way but life goes on and happiness wins in the end.
@Tameka Nice spot for dogs indeed. Thanks for visiting!!
